This 4-part class meets once a week for 3 hours for 4 consecutive weeks. You will make a lap size quilt (63" x 87") from the "Just Can't Cut It" pattern. You will learn all the basics of quilting. Some of the skills learned include: first week includes cutting, piecing and pressing; second week we sew the main body of the quilt together; third week we learn borders; fourth week is binding.

Cactus Flower is a lovely paper pieced table runner by Judy Niemeyer. This is an excellent project to learn about her floating points and curved piecing technique. The color selection for this piece will make all the difference between using it in a seasonal or a holiday scene. I made the table runner and used the other two sets of papers to make a bed runner/pillow cover. Finished size is 17’ x 51”.

The Prairie Star pattern incorporates a lot of Quiltworx’s techniques. The pattern has been updated from previous versions to include a standardized fabric chart to simply making this quilt in your own colorway. It also includes template layout sheets for the border, significantly simplifying and speeding up the process in which these units can be completed. In 2015 I was asked to make an opportunity quilt for the Utah Quilt Guild for the 2017 Red and White Show. This is my version of the Prairie Star.

Vintage Rose is a quilt that brings together a wide-range of techniques for Foundation Paper Piecing, leaving students with the ability to move on to many other Quiltworx patterns once they have completed this design. Because of Judy's dedication to teaching, she has also gone through the steps to provide training for our affiliated Shops and Certified Instructors so they can provide training to their students. These classes are designed to provide assistance in helping you understand the process and steps needed to complete the pattern. The Vintage Rose includes many of Judy's techniques for paper piecing including cutting, stacking, chain piecing, and some newer techniques to Quiltworx, including curved paper-piecing and curved piecing using (RP) Lines for the final assembly of long S-Curves. $150 covers all 7 sessions.
